High Accretion Rate during Class 0 Phase due to External Trigger

چکیده

ABSTRACT Recent observations indicate that some class 0 sources have orders of magnitude higher accretion rates than those of class I. We investigated the conditions for the high accretion rates of some class 0 sources by numerical calculations, modelling an external trigger. For no external trigger, we find that the maximum value of the accretion rate is determined by the ratio α of the gravitational energy to the thermal one within a flat inner region of the cloud core. The accretion rate reaches ∼ 10−4M⊙yr −1 if the cloud core has α & 2. For an external trigger we find that the maximum value of the accretion rate is proportional to the momentum given to the cloud core. The accretion rate reaches & 10−4M⊙yr −1 with a momentum of ∼ 0.1M⊙km s −1 when the initial central density of the cloud core is ∼ 10g cm. A comparison between recent observational results for prestellar cores and our no triggered collapse model indicates that the flat inner regions of typical prestellar cores are not large enough to cause accretion rates of ∼ 10−4M⊙yr . Our results show that the triggered collapse of the cloud core is more preferable for the origin of the high accretion rates of class 0 sources than no triggered collapse.

A New Class of Resonant Discharge Drive Topology for Switched Reluctance Motor

Switched reluctance motor (SRM) drive has a remarkable characteristic, high efficiency, and good controllability, which makes it attractive for high-speed applications. In this paper, the basic control strategy for a switched reluctance motor drive circuit is explained and then three different resonant discharge topologies for SRM drive circuit are proposed. Due to resonantly discharging of exc...

I-25: GnRHa Trigger State of the ART -Towards the OHSS Free Clinic

Human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) has been used as a surrogate for the mid-cycle LH surge for several decades. Due to structural and biological similarities with LH, hCG binds to and activates the same receptor - the LH/hCG receptor. However, despite the fact that hCG effectively secures final oocyte maturation and ovulation, its use as a surrogate for LH has got several drawbacks - first and ...

The effect of a finite mass reservoir on the collapse of spherical isothermal clouds and the evolution of protostellar accretion

Motivated by recent observations which detect an outer boundary for starless cores, and evidence for time-dependent mass accretion in the Class 0 and Class I protostellar phases, we reexamine the case of spherical isothermal collapse in the case of a finite mass reservoir. The presence of a core boundary results in the generation of an inward propagating rarefaction wave. This steepens the gas ...

Time-dependent accretion and ejection implied by pre-stellar density profiles

A recent homogeneous study of outflow activity in low-mass embedded young stellar objects (YSOs) (Bontemps et al. 1996) suggests that mass ejection andmass accretion both decline significantly with time during protostellar evolution. In the present paper, we propose that this rapid decay of accretion/ejection activity is a direct result of the non-singular density profiles characterizing pre-co...

Fabrication of Crosslinkable Hollow Fiber Membranes for Pervaporation Dehydration

Integrally-skinned asymmetric Polyetherimide/Poly (vinyl alcohol) (PEI/PVA) hollow fber membranes for pervaporation dehydration were fabricated by non-solvent induced phase inversion. PVA inside the PEI matrix could be crosslinked to provide membrane performance stability during long term operation. The effects of different PEI/PVA blend ratio, external coagulant type and...
